Chinese Geely GE – Rolls Royce made in China

A flying lady mascot on the bonnet with unique radiator and that is the classy Rolls Royce. Get in, and you will see plush interiors with huge seats, wooly carpet a wine cabinet to add that elegance. However, the car we are talking about here is not the £250,000 original Rolls-Royce Pahntom. It’s the Geely GE a china made look alike of the classy car. Ask the price of this RR look alike it comes at £30,000.

A price of £250,000 the original Rolls-Royce Phantom is a car for the privileged few. But the Chinese Geely GE claims that it is a re-invented classic. Costing just £30,000, the Geely GE, which stands for Geely Excellence, looks like it is a good attempt to offer a palace on 4 wheels. Chinese car companies have a reputation (ill I mean) for copying foreign classics – and making rip offs, sometimes prompting to severe legal action.

So, the original makers are contemplating on filing a suite. Geely GE made its first presence at the Shanghai Motor Show, which was displayed in close proximity to the Rolls Royce Phantom.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has great concern over protecting its brand image and it will go to any extent to curb such brand ruining attempts especially mimicking its product portfolio.

BRUSSELS - Intel Corp. was fined a record $1.45 billion by the European Union on Wednesday for using strong-arm sales tactics in the computer chip market — a penalty that could turn up the pressure on U.S. regulators to go after the company, too.

The fine against the world’s biggest chip maker represents a huge victory for Intel’s Silicon Valley rival, Advanced Micro Devices Inc., or AMD, the No. 2 supplier of microprocessors to PC makers.

AMD has sued Intel and lobbied regulators around the world for the past five years, complaining that Intel was penalizing PC makers in the U.S. and abroad for doing business with AMD. More Story continues here
